Elina Ijäs is an emerging, Oslo based, artist from Guovdageaidnu and Gáivuotna, Sápmi. Her music trancends language barriers, reflecting her experiences through music.
She has distinguished herself in recent years with several music releases and concerts. Including performances in, among others, the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Denmark, and festivals like the Indigenous festival, Riddu Riđđu, and one of Norway's largest festivals, Øyafestivalen in Oslo.
Elina’s music celebrates her identity and heritage for cultural preservation; primarily singing in her mother tongue, Northern Sámi, an endangered language. Her art works to reclaim her personal and communal identity.
