Founded on 6 February 2024, the corps now comprises 32 women aged 21 and above. Every Tuesday they rehearse with focus and determination on snare, bass and tenor drums, as well as cymbals. Many began without prior experience, but in a short space of time they have developed a tight, hard-hitting and cohesive sound.
Rhythmic force at the heart of town
Just three months after forming, they performed in the Constitution Day parade on 17 May. Since then, they have made their mark in parades, commemorations, anniversaries and cultural events across the town. Under the direction of instructor Kristin Høyden, the corps has grown into a visible – and audible – presence in the urban landscape.
When they take over the Town Square during the True Northern Arts Festival, expect driving, rhythm-based interplay – close, physical and full of impact.
This concert is for you if you:
- enjoy drums and rhythm-driven music
- appreciate marching drum corps and parade performance
- want to experience percussion with power, precision and energy
