With unique harmony and precision, four individual voices melt into one. For more than 20 years, Kraja have created their own musical universe – meditative, poetic and deeply moving. With five albums and a Grammy nomination, they have become style-defining and one of Sweden’s most internationally recognised folk music groups.
When Kraja made their debut, their repertoire mainly consisted of traditional Swedish folk songs in their own arrangements. Over the years, they have increasingly composed, produced and arranged all their music themselves. The folk inspiration remains, together with the distinctive harmonies and sounds that have enchanted audiences around the world.
Nordic sound in concentrated form
Kraja stand simply and sing a cappella, delivering four-part vocals with such assured form and purity of sound that time seems to stand still. The clear, seamless interplay of the voices has been described as both heavenly and landscape-forming – as if nature itself were singing.
Frida Johansson, Lisa Lestander, Linnea Nilsson and Eva Lestander create an expression that moves effortlessly between the simple and the grand. It is intimate, pure and intense – and at the same time open and floating.
This concert is for you if you:
- like vocal music and a cappella in the Nordic tradition
- are looking for a meditative and atmospheric concert experience
- want to experience four voices in perfect harmony
