As part of the programme connected to the True Northern Arts Festival Exhibition, Kven Kunstnerforbund invites audiences to several events throughout the week. On Sunday morning, you can start the day in the sauna with Kväänilöyly #4: Aurinkhoon – To the Sun, a Kven solstice sauna with poetry readings by festival artists Ingeborg Wie Henriksen and Maija Liisa Björklund.

The event takes place at VÅG Havbadstue from 08:00 to 10:00. Here, warmth, sea and words meet in a quiet morning moment, where poetry and Kven culture are given space between sauna visits and views of the ocean.

Practical information:

Bring swimwear and a towel. The sauna is located by the sea for those who would like a morning swim.
The event is free, but registration is required.
