The children’s very own festival opening
Before the True Northern Arts Festival Parade, we invite children and families to a Parade Workshop in SNN Park. Here, children can make their very own festival hat before the parade sets off through Harstad town centre.
The hat can be funny, colourful, strange, beautiful or completely wild. Imagination leads the way. The workshop is free, open to everyone and suitable for children of all ages who want to help put their own stamp on the festival.
Make something yourself and join the parade
The Parade Workshop is a friendly and informal meeting place before the parade begins. The children get to make something they can put on and use straight away, and afterwards we continue together into the True Northern Arts Festival Parade.
You don’t need to have taken part before, and you don’t need to prepare anything at home. Just come along to SNN Park, make a festival hat and join in a colourful start to the festival.
A free activity for the whole family
The Parade Workshop is a lovely way to start the festival day for families with children, grandparents and anyone who wants to experience the town filled with life, music and the joy of the parade.
This activity is for you if you:
- have children who enjoy making things themselves
- want to take part in the True Northern Arts Festival Parade
- are looking for a free family activity in the town centre
