Two characters appear as if they have travelled far. Perhaps for days, perhaps for years. With Vespa headlights, the handlebars of an electric scooter, a rolling treadmill and ingenious lighting mechanisms, they construct their own universe in the middle of the city. WOOW! is a surreal, non-verbal performance where physical precision meets playful imagination, and where the audience is swiftly drawn into a shared “woow”.
There are no lines of dialogue here – only body, gaze and movement. The two figures, somewhere between clowns, athletes and poets, test balance, trust and cooperation in situations that are at once breathtaking and poetic. Each action opens onto something unexpected. A small moment of wonder shaped by light, mechanics and human interplay.
Laughter as a common language
Cie BRUBOC was established in 2019 and builds on two artistic careers spanning more than 20 years. The company creates performances for all ages, inspired by the clowning of Chaplin and Keaton, the visual universe of Fellini and the direct humour of the Italian stage tradition. The result is accessible theatre combining precision with warmth.
