Ungdommens Festspill is for everyone aged 13 to 17 who wants to start the summer holidays with concerts, activities, new friends and dedicated youth events.
From 21 to 25 June 2026, lots of young people will gather in Harstad for five days of music, food, hangouts, events and festival experiences.
You can join in with whatever you like. Some things happen during the day, while much of the programme takes place in the afternoon and evening. Between activities, you can hang out at Ungdommens Hus, which will be our main base throughout the week.
We will provide dinner and supper every day.

What you can take part in
You will get to experience concerts and performances at True Northern Arts Festival. In addition, we will be creating dedicated youth events. Join us for, among other things:
- Bonfire
- Open Stage
- Block Party
- Harstad Orbit Battle
- Madcon concert
- No. 4 concert
- Feber concert
- … and lots more fun!
Here, you can both be part of the audience and help create the events as a volunteer. You can also take part and perform with your band at Open Stage, or perform something at Open Mic during Block Party. You decide how much you want to be involved.
It is free to take part
Ungdommens Festspill is free for all participants. You get food, activities, a meeting place and festival experiences without paying a participation fee. In return, we hope you will help out as a volunteer – it is a great way to get to know the other participants even better, and to have lots of fun together while setting up events and carrying out different tasks.
Drug- and alcohol-free event
Ungdommens Festspill is a drug- and alcohol-free event. All use of alcohol and other intoxicants is strictly prohibited. Breaking the rules will lead to exclusion from the rest of the programme.

Would you like to join as a youth volunteer?
As a youth volunteer, you get to be part of what happens behind the scenes and help create the festival with us.
For example, you can help with:
- rigging
- making posters
- setting up a mocktail bar
- serving food
- tidying up
- welcoming people
- contributing at events
- creating a great atmosphere
You are still a regular participant and can take part in everything on the programme, including concerts, activities and social events. As a volunteer, you also become part of the festival team.
We will contact everyone who signs up as a volunteer after 10 June, and together we will find out what you would like to help with.
You will be asked whether you would like to contribute as a volunteer in the registration form.
