The witchcraft processes in Finnmark are part of our own recent past. What can we learn from history? Can we draw a parallel to our own time?
In the 17th century, Finnmark's population consisted of around 3,000 people. Over the course of three generations, nearly a hundred individuals were executed. A systematic cleansing at the behest of the king, carried out by the state and blessed by the church. We head to Vardø and Paris, Copenhagen and Kiberg, Ekkerøy and London. Who were they? Who are we?
