We get to experience new and exciting perspectives and reflections on and in the north, performed by outstanding musicians with a lot on their minds. The concert is the result of a collaboration with composers Karin Rehnqvist, Mark Adderley, Anneli Drecker and Karsten Brustad.

In addition to interpreting past music, the ARcTic Sustain ensemble also presents music and stories for the future, among other things by letting acoustic and electronic sounds merge.

ARcTic Sustain - let vibrate is an ensemble consisting of musicians affiliated with the Conservatory of Music in Tromsø. The ensemble seeks to create new stories and performances about the North through the development of new music in close collaboration with composers.

The ensemble is part of the art project Art VAPO - True North, a project that examines and embodies different dimensions of northernity through the performing arts in the circumpolar region. The members are equal voices in an ensemble structure that emphasizes dialogue and communication in and through music.
