HIP-HOP + THEATER + FOLKLORE = TRUE
In this workshop, we draw inspiration from the performing arts organization SPKRBOX and combine theater and hip-hop in one workshop. We want this workshop to be a meeting place for young hip-hop enthusiasts and theater people, and we plan for a week of blending exercises from hip-hop dance and improvisational theater. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to write texts/poetry and try their hand at beatboxing. The workshop will focus more on improvisation, poetry, and theater at the beginning of the week and more on dance towards the end of the week. On the final day, we will showcase some of the work we have done for the audience.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL:
In this project, it's important that you're interested in learning more about theater and hip-hop, but you don't need any experience to sign up. All tasks are adapted to your level of experience and skills, so the workshop will suit those with no, some, or extensive experience in either dance and/or theater. You can write about your experiences in the registration form.
