Family performance The Black Sheep is re-invited to the Arctic Arts Festival. Last year their baggage with scenography in it went missing en route and brought the planned performance to a halt. But now Teatro Distinto is back. This is a performance about friendship, loneliness and tolerance. What´s it like to feel the odd one out in the flock?
Here´s the black sheep? Is he angry? He seems lonely. He seems mischievous. Maybe he is mischievous because the others are rejecting him? In his loneliness he is hiding a secret.
Through simple games and geometric forms the flock of sheep and its uniformity becomes real. We meet a black sheep who lives in his own world, plays with unusual friends and tries to understand what is normal. He struggles to be accepted for who he is.
The prize winning Italian performance ”The Black Sheep” is a result of a creative project with kindergarten children and primary school pupils from 2011. The performance was conceived and directed by Laura Marchegiani, Alessandro Nosotti and Daniel Gol.
