Gob Squad pick up the reins with one of their specialities: audience participation, where the boundary between the public and performer is blurred. In this lecture/performance the public will be involved as they receive instructions through earphones. Join in as the group retell and reconstruct their ideas, memories and collective processes which they have experienced together over 20 years. Sound, video and text are utilised as fact and fiction become one during the lecture. This is TV education and info entertainment put into practice. 

The theme will be authenticity and truth, and how one goes about establishing a collective identity through playful, shared foundations which crop up along the way, and which involve everyone.

Berlin based Gob Squad describe themselves as a seven headed monster and an arts collective without hierarchy consisting of seven equal leaders driven by a strong motivation to jolt the public out of their traditionally passive role. Gob Squad present performances which can be described as organised chaos with utopian scenarios where shared experiences with passersby can become possible. Three structures form the basis of Gob Squad´s work; visual choreography, improvisation and unexpected elements that cannot be planned in advance. Since its foundation in 1994 the company has constantly looked for new ways of combining media and performance. This is a meeting place between theatre, media, arts and reality. Sound and video technology often play a central role in their productions.
