Å leve videre (NO)

In the monologue performance Å LEVE VIDERE we meet the sister who was on Utøya with her brother. She was 17 years old, he was 23 years old. The brother never came home again.

She lives on, but the experiences from the terrorist attack become traumas that characterize all parts of her life. At the same time, polarization in Norwegian society is increasing, and the perpetrator's extreme attitudes are gaining traction in more and more people. The frustration in her grows and pushes out feelings she has not previously been able to face. She is facing a showdown. Welcome to the difficult space.

Å LEVE VIDERE is made by Rimfrost Produksjoner in collaboration with Kloden teater. The performance is written and directed by Nina Wester based on conversations with a family from Northern Norway who lost one of their own on Utøya.

The monologue reflects experiences after the terror, and experiences from the attack that took place on Utøya. The performance is mainly made for a young audience with no memories of their own from July 22, 2011.

About Rimfrost produksjoner

Rimfrost Productions stage new theatre based on themes that should be highlighted and stories we believe should be told. Rimfrost was started on Senja in 20116, and moved to Tromsø i 2013. Our productions are founded on documentary material, but the end result ranges in form, method and target audience. The textual foundation is in story-telling and the under-communicated story, therefore we develop (with a few exceptions) new stage text for our productions. The themes we work with can be complex, and we treat them with rigour and respect, but the final expression on stage shall be accessible, full of curiosity, presence, and humour. In 2017, we created Tobias og dagen det smalt, which won the Hedda Prize for best children's performance in 2018. In 2020, the monologue Monster i magen was nominated for the Gullsekken, and in 2022, the performance Utvik Senior received Hedda of the Year. Å LEVE VIDERE on is our 20th production, and won the Hedda Prize for Best Performance for Youth in 2024..
