As part of the True Northern Arts Festival Exhibition programme, Kven Kunstnerforbund invites you to an afternoon of artist talks, performance and social gathering at VÅG Havbadstue.
The event begins with Bevegelser i kvensk kunst #6, a fireside talk with festival artists, where audiences can meet artists from this year’s festival exhibition. The conversation takes Kven art today as its starting point – how it is developing, which forms of expression are emerging, and how artists work with Kven identity and culture.
The talk is followed by Kväänilöyly #5, a combination of sauna experience and art performance with TSD (Andrea Conradsen & Rurik Sjösten). Here, art, body and place merge in a sensory experience close to the sea.
Refreshments and Kven snacks will be served, and the event is designed to encourage good conversations in a warm and informal atmosphere.
