For infection control reasons, there will not be a traditional opening ceremony. Instead, on the opening day there will be a guided tour and the opportunity to meet some of the artists. Registration via the festival's website
What would the microorganisms in our bodies say if they had a voice? Is it possible to convey the diverse and intertwined life of a pond through language? How is the sound of those one can neither see nor hear, and which one can have so easy to forget? Can you learn something about music by immersing yourself in the world of mushrooms? Is it possible to work with a potato? And what can the interaction between people and animals tell about history, the present and about oneself?
These, and many more, are questions that appear in this year's festival exhibition "I am multitude". The starting point is different ways of being in the world, and the symbiotic and complex relationship between everything that lives: from the microscopic, which can do surprisingly much, to the larger ones, which have a seemingly greater influence. At a time when the distant has become more distant and the near has become closer, the exhibition seeks to build bridges, to highlight connections and to inspire its own exploration of the perhaps less obvious connections. In fabulous ways, it opens up for different types of existence and sensuality. Sound, sculpture, video, drawing, performance and objects are included in works by a number of artists from the region, nationally and internationally.
