She works on a farm and in a gourmet restaurant; washes, weeds in the field and takes care of the animals. Between the secure love and the work with the earth, there is a dark anxiety that consumes her.

This is the starting point for emerging artist Andrea White Hveding in her effort to present an alternative portrait of northern Norwegian culture. The film is created at the intersection of documentary and fiction. Jorden hvisker til deg is her second feature film.

Festspillene i Nord-Norge awards two emerging artists stipents each year to support development of new voices in the field of theater, dance, film, visual art and music. The stipent is tied to development of projects that have their premier during the festival each year. This years projects are Ekko Ekko and Jorden hvisker til deg (The Earth Whispers to You).
