In the Archive, spaces are documented using the senses, memory and imagination.
In the Archive, spaces are documented using the senses, memory and imagination.
The archive allows us to use these to reflect on the spaces in which we find ourselves. Dance artist Ingvild Isaksen is behind the project. She is based in Stamsund, trained as both a dancer and scenographer, and works with movement, sound and text as tools to explore her immediate surroundings.
In this performance, newer and older documentation of the Apotekergården in Harstad is presented by dancers, in text and in sculpture form. The performance begins indoors on the third floor of Kulturhuset. The performance ends inside and outside Apotekergården, so the audience will have an opportunity to enter the house.
The audience is invited to collaborate with their own imagination.
With great thanks for the invaluable help and effort from local documentarians in Harstad.
