The exhibition consists of 20 large canvas images with thought-provoking questions.
Through the exhibition, we aim to provide a colour experience and engage you in reflecting on the future of the oceans and a changing world. The works are divided into five themes: mythology, challenges, technology, food, and relationships. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to write, draw, and publish your visions of the future.
The exhibition is part of a larger EEA project on coastal culture, in collaboration between the Sesimbra Maritime Museum in Portugal, CRAFT-Lab, and other environments at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, as well as the Festspillene i Nord-Norge.
The exhibition is multilingual and will be shown in 2024 in Sesimbra and Harstad, as well as online. It is curated by CRAFT-Lab.
The exhibition will be opened by the rector of UiT, Dag Rune Olsen, along with Andreia Filipa Conceição from the Sesimbra Maritime Museum, Jorge Santos from the CRAFT research group, and Lilli Mittner from the Centre for Arctic Humanities, accompanied by the Arctic Youth Choir.
