For fans of alternative rock, Seigmen is a name that makes the heart beat faster. Now, the band brings their passionate music back to Harstad and Storsalen - 30 years after "Hjernen er alene".
Seigmen has been a supplier of heavy, grandiose, and catchy melancholy since 1989. With a legacy consisting of critically acclaimed albums and energetic live performances, the band has created a loyal following over its many years in the industry.
As one of the few surviving bands from the golden age of Norwegian rock in the 1990s, Seigmen represents an important part of the country's musical heritage.
In 1994, the band's breakthrough came with the cover version of deLillos' "Hjernen er alene" and the subsequent third album "Total", which established Seigmen as one of the country's most distinctive and popular rock bands. Seigmen won the Spellemannprisen for rock in the mid-nineties with the classic album "Metropolis".
In 1996, the band also played in Storsalen during Festspillene. In 2008, they were the first Norwegian band to be invited to play at the Opera. In 2021, guitarist and vocalist Marius Roth Christensen made a solid effort in "Stjernekamp".
In the fall of 2023, Seigmen released long awaited new music. The single "Berlin" was the first track out from a new album, and this year "Resonans", their first album in nine years, is released. The concert with Seigmen is an opportunity for fans and music enthusiasts to experience an iconic band and their distinctive sound and deeply ploughing lyrics in the city's grand hall.
