Vocalist, instrumentalist and songwriter Eivør from the Faroe islands has a voice of rare beauty and power, and will perform her spellbinding music with a full band in Storsalen.
Eivør’s musical palette has broadened since her folk beginnings as her albums and performances variably have included jazz, country folk, big band stylings, classical influences, and trip hop tinted rock. As of late, she has consolidated these experimental inputs into her own style of folktronica with heartfelt lyrical observations of life as it unfolds.
Her extensive carreer includes ten studio albums, as well as many collaborations with artists such as Vamp, Ásgeir, John Grant, Einar Selvik (Wardruna) and Dan Heath (Lana Del Ray), Eivør can be considered one of the most captivating live vocalists in the Nordic region. The award-winning artist has been streamed nearly 1 billion times, and she has completed sold-out tours in Scandinavia, Europe and the USA.
Her atmospheric music is also perfect for TV, film and games – she has composed the music for the BBC series “The Last Kingdom” and the game “Metal Gear Survive”. Eivør has built up a large – and not least broad – following, and we expect Faroese magic when she takes the stage.
