Post-show talk: Wednesday 24 June, 20:20 (the library, music department)
The choreography follows the movements of water. Ripples spread between the dancers. Undercurrents pull them in new directions, or into a whirlpool before calm returns and the surface stills. In the meeting between song, emotion and dance, the performers navigate constantly shifting emotional waters.
Ingvartsen works deliberately with strong emotional expressions – not to dwell on the private, but to explore how emotions move between us.

Love as more than a feeling
For Ingvartsen, love is more than an individual experience; it is a social and political force. It can wear down what is hard, or loosen what once seemed fixed. In Unchained Melody, moods and movements flow into one another like waves on the sea.
This performance is for you if you:
- want to see contemporary dance with live singing on stage
- want to experience strong emotions conveyed through body and voice
- enjoy performing arts that explore community, influence and force
The performance is a co-production between Carte Blanche and Bergen International Festival.
