This is a simple and lovely way to start the festival for children, families, grandparents and everyone who wants to feel the town awaken into festival mode.
Come as you are
You don’t need a costume, registration or any previous parade experience. Just turn up and walk together with the rest of the town.
Have the children made a festival hat at the Parade Workshop earlier in the day? Feel free to wear it in the parade. The more colours, strange shapes and happy parade-goers, the more fun it will be for everyone.
We walk together to the opening
The parade goes from SNN Park via Havnegata, the THON roundabout, Hålogalandsgata, Torget and Hans Egedes gate, before ending in Generalhagen for the opening ceremony.
The parade is free and open to everyone.
