Electro-folk with trance, hardstyle and violin

Junna (FI)

Junna is an electro-folk duo founded in 2019 by Juha Seppänen and Anna Haaraoja. The duo wraps folk music traditions in electronic genres such as trance, hardstyle and drum’n’bass. With electric violin, floating synths and powerful stadium drums, they create a sound that brings folk music fans and ravers into the same dance circle.

Anna comes from Central Ostrobothnia and is a classically trained singer and violinist who later fell for folk music. Juha, from Suomussalmi, is a Master of Techno Arts and discovered eurodance early on through his older brother’s record collection. Together, they have developed an expression in which folk melodies meet energetic electronic beats.

Junna have released six singles, one EP and two albums. Their latest album, Aena rankkoo, released in March 2025, has received radio play both in Finland and internationally, and continues the duo’s vision of energetic, beat-driven folk music.

Music, dance and living tradition

On stage, Junna will be joined by dance duo Folk Show Crew – Mitja and Eveliina Pilke. With a background in Finnish and Karelian folk dance traditions, they bring strong rhythms and physical energy into the concert.

Together, Junna and Folk Show Crew create a performance where movement, rhythm and emotion merge into a powerful and immersive experience.
