What can an ordinary roll of tape become? In Scoooootch!, tape is transformed into huts, lines, connections and surprising landscapes. Three performers explore the space together with the children in a sensory performance where movement, sound and material are at the centre.
The performance is made for children aged 4 and up, meeting the youngest audience members on their own terms. The tape is rolled out, stretched, torn, attached and built with. It makes sounds, creates shapes and ties people together. What at first seems simple gradually becomes a playful universe of horizontal and vertical spaces, small hiding places and new connections.

Being in the world – together
Scoooootch! is without words. Here, body, breath, rhythm and material tell the story. The tape becomes a metaphor for the bonds between us – they can be soft, tight, tangled or flexible. How do we build ourselves? How are we connected to others?
Children sit close to the action, in a semicircle on cushions and benches, and are invited to sense and observe. Towards the end, those who want to can come up on stage, touch the material and explore it themselves. A safe and playful space is created, where curiosity and wonder are allowed to lead the way.
A poetic, physical and visual experience for little ones – and for adults who want to experience the world anew through children’s eyes.
This performance is for you if you:
