What role can indigenous arts and culture play in the struggle for rights, freedom of expression and peace? Can one describe arts and culture as part of the political framework in addressing the indigenous struggle?
What kind of role can arts and culture carve out for itself as a way is found to make progress in the freedom of expression, and heightening of wider respect for indigenous values and cultural life? Is it possibility to identify art as a potential tool in making progress?
We invite the sharing of perspectives from Canada, Sápmi and Guatemala with some of the world´s foremost indigenous artists. A full list will be published subsequently here. The debate will be produced by Hætta Productions v/Christina Hætta.
