A number of works presented at this year´s festival take flight, migration and the life of refugees as a theme. The Spanish theatre company Kamchàtka force their public to confront issues of alienation and a sense of difference in the performances Kamchàtka and Habitaculum. The visual artist Shwan Qaradaki hands all power over to refugees in the exhibition entitled ”Qaradaki as Prime Minister”.
We put forward the questions: What actually is integration? Is a sense of otherness perfectly fine or is it dangerous? How long does it take to live in Norway before you can call yourself a Norwegian, and how do we respond to those who don´t want to become purely Norwegian?
Together with the theatre critic and journalist Anki Gerhardsen the festival invites the public to a fresh arena for discussion: Critical Point. Here, we look at the thorny issues which art presents today, and seek to spark off and encourage healthy debates. Why not take your lunch break at Ludo, pop along and join us in the discussion.
