The Tromsø band The Modern Times delivers energetic and catchy rock with clear inspirations from bands like Pixies and Strokes. The band is known for their tremendous live show and create catchy indie rock with a lash of garage and punk.
The Modern Times got great reviews of their debut album "This Is The Modern Times" which was released on Drabant Music in January 2017. The quintet has a unique sound with Magnus Vold Jensens vocals in front, clever lyrics, original arrangement of the songs and an enormous joy of playing that characterizes the whole band.
The album's first single, "Keyhole & Birds," was named the Norwegian song of the year in 2016 by Bent Inge Hvitstein in Deichmanske Library. The second single "Motorhead" is radio listed on NRK P13, and was released with music with a closeup of a comedian eating a burger in slow motion
