Get to know the coast's fantastic ingredients. As part of the exhibition Ekko Ekko, we invite you to taste ingredients from the sea in a communal dining.
The north Norwegian coast is a wild encounter between land and sea, light, and weather. The nature is diverse, changeable, and not the least productive. The coastal zone and the sea by the coast offer wonder, play and relaxation. This is also a zone for ingredients and one can harvest delicious delicacies. Snails, sea urchins, shells and seaweed are in addition to being very tasty, important indicators of the state of the sea and the intricate ecosystems.
We will use material collected from the shore and get help from divers where the sea is too deep for boots. We will talk about cooking and possibilities of edible species that we find, the participants will be able to challenge their taste buds during the event. By using the shore as a breathing space and focusing on the species that live there, together we can be attentive and curious about the sea as a whole.
