Johndoe are back with new music – and on stage they still deliver the same raw energy that has made them one of the most distinctive rock bands to come out of Trøndelag.
Seventh album at full throttle
Following the success of the anniversary concerts for their debut album Ja takk til trøbbel, the band are now releasing their seventh album, aptly titled 7. The record is packed with melody, energy and defiance, moving from indie punk and power pop to rougher punk rock.
Here, you will find songs that open hard and direct, as well as more reflective moments where the band reveal another side of their expression.
Raw, melodic and direct
The music is written by vocalist and guitarist Jonas Skybakmoen, with bandmates Terje Uv on guitar, Øystein Eide on bass and Stian Lundberg on drums. Together, they create a sound that is energetic, melodic and uncompromising.
The album was recorded at Brygga Studio and at the Birkeland smallholding in Meldal, before being mixed by Marcus Forsgren at Studio Paradiso and mastered by Karl Klaseie at Øra.
A band that still plays heart-first
On stage, Johndoe combine driving guitars, strong melodies and lyrics with both punch and nerve. The result is concerts full of energy, joy of playing and rock in its most direct form.
This concert is for you if you:
- like energetic Norwegian rock with a punk edge
- want to experience strong melodies and raw guitars
- miss concerts with real drive and joy of playing
