Are you up for a zany evening of almost reckless, brass driven Balkan groovy funk? Räfven, who are hailed as one of Sweden´s hottest live bands was the director´s last piece in the jigsaw puzzle of this year´s programme!
Rumours are flying about of an energetic, swinging stage show from the Balkan inspired Räfven. The band are made up of seven charismatic and supremely professional musicians. They are coming to our festival town in the north with brass, mouth organ, double bass and will pack a real punch with their ecstatic, extravagant music. A bunch of total party animal Swedes who let rip with total abandon!
- This is dead cool, and it´s definately going to kick off this night in Nordic Hall! We guarantee a party atmosphere and that a night with Räfven will be a highlight of this year´s Nordic Hall gigs, states festival director Maria Utsi.
Räfven have met their audiences in every conceivable location. They have tried everything from playing on a tree top to standing in front of 10.000 screaming Japanese fans. Räfven have got together in various forms and were put together first as a street band in 2003; an origin which shines through in the way they grip their public regardless of how large the audience or venue is.
Hop on board for an evening of Scandinavian and Central European music, Klezmer, Balkan craziness, all packaged with infectious joy and effortless professionalism. With several hundred of these wildly popular evenings already behind them, it is no surprise these lads have become crowned as one of Sweden´s must see live bands.
